Liverpool-based metal band Death Blooms have issued a statement via their Facebook Page with frontman Paul Barrow responding to former bandmate Taylor Brown on bullying behaviour and also confirming that all further live shows for Death Blooms will be cancelled.
In a post on Instagram, Brown stated:
It’s been a year since my first ever tour and I’ve been having a really terrible time lately, so wanted to finally get something off my chest that’s been bothering me ever since my previous band experience came to an end.
What started as something positive and exciting, quickly turned toxic and abusive with months of mental and psychological torment.
The gaslighting and abuse that followed in the months after I joined the band was so severe that it left me having suicidal thoughts and a recent diagnosis of PTSD. 10 months have passed and I struggle every day thinking about how bad it was.

In response, Death Bloom’s frontman Paul Barrow stated
Things have been said in recent times about me and my behaviour. I’m not going to ever pretend I am anywhere near perfect and I never have done. I have never intentionally set out to hurt, or make anyone feel poorly about themselves. But that doesn’t mean that didn’t end up happening, and I am sorry for any emotional distress I have caused anyone.
My truth is that I often felt exactly the same way in these situations. I felt like these things escalated, things were said, and everyone did things that hurt our relationships. Often, because we’d spoken and had “clear the air” talks, I felt like these problems were resolved and we were all ready to move on. The necessary apologies were made at that time.

Death Blooms released their debut album ‘Life Is Pain’ on 22 October 2021 via Adventure Cat Records. The band toured extensively across the UK, played at Download Festival (Pilot) at Donington Park and also released the single “Shut Up” featuring Milkie Way of Wargasm.
