Here at Primordial, we don’t just do things differently, we do them better too!

As part of our Envirometal promises we are always looking for ways how we can mitigate our impact on Planet Earth, and we reckon we’ve come up with a beauty!

Working in partnership with Project Seagrass charity, we can now provide both you the fam, and the whole world, with the ….

Primordial Radio Envirometal Seedbank-U-Lator

Seedbank-U-Lator

A nifty little device which converts your car miles into seagrass meadows!

You may all be aware of the schemes where you pay to plant trees to offset your carbon, well sadly these really are pipe dreams, with many not coming close to fulfilling their promises.
So we set our semi-tamed heavy metal marine biologist, The Blowfish, on the case and he’s come up with a real winner.
By supporting a seagrass charity instead, in the form of offsetting your miles for seeds, we are actively helping an ecosystem which has the potential to actually offset more carbon than a mature terrestrial forest!

And now, a word from our resident Envirometal Consultant

“The thing about seagrass is that it binds together so many different parts of an ecosystem. From providing homes to juvenile fish, to offering protection to beaches and coasts by quelling storm waves, seagrass meadows are an incredible habitat that are massively under threat. By teaming up with Project Seagrass, we can help support this amazing aquatic habitat… AND it has the added bonus of sucking up plenty of Carbon Dioxide too! What’s not to like?”

So there you have it people. Any journey, big or small! Make sure you stop by the seedbank-u-lator afterwards and donate whatever you feel you can.
Every single penny goes solely to Project Seagrass for the planting, maintaining and monitoring of our UK seagrass meadows.
Winner Winner Seagrass Dinner!*

Check out the Primordial Radio Envirometal Seedbank-U-Lator

(*please note: you should only attempt to eat seagrass if you are a sea turtle)

Black Orchid Empire recently spoke to Pete Bailey shortly before they were due to tour the UK. Unfortunately, the tour has been postponed due to bassist Dave Ferguson needing emergency surgery for appendicitis. The interview was done before this was announced, but the guys also talked about their latest album “Semaphore” not putting timescales on success and the growing popularity of heavy progressive music.

Interview starts at 20:27

Black Orchid Empire create huge, memorable rock music that combines heavy-hitting savagery with intense melodic beauty. Their technical, fearlessly complex grooves and gigantic sing-along choruses have already earned them a widespread fanbase. A ferociously tight live band, Black Orchid Empire have toured Europe and the UK extensively, recently supporting Skunk Anansie on their sold-out 25th-anniversary shows, including Brixton Academy.

These appearances, as well as previous tours with HED p.e, INME, Black Map and Ravenface, combined with festival slots at Download Festival, Standon Calling, Camden Rocks and Taubertal, have sealed the band’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with.

We unfortunately have to announce that the tour with Black Orchid Empire & North Atlas that was scheduled to start on Friday 22nd October 2021 is now having to be postponed due to bassist Dave Ferguson needing emergency surgery for appendicitis.

Full statement from the band:

“It’s with huge regret that we’ve taken the difficult decision to postpone our Semaphore UK tour.

Dave has just undergone emergency surgery for appendicitis, and whilst the operation to remove his appendix was successful, and he’s set to make a full recovery, he’s currently still in the hospital.

The health and safety of our bandmates and crew always come first for us, and there’s no way he can recover in time for the shows.

We’re absolutely gutted. It’s been such a long time since we were able to hit the road and we were so excited to get out to see you guys again. We will rearrange the tour ASAP. In the meantime please contact your ticket issuer for refunds”

Dave Ferguson needing emergency surgery for appendicitis

From all of us here at Primordial Radio, we wish Dave the absolute best and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing the tour happen when Dave is fully recovered. Tickets will remain valid for the new dates when announced or you can contact SeeTickets for a refund.

Primordial Radio is very excited to announce we have teamed up with Black Orchid Empire & North Atlas for their UK tour and are offering all Primordial Members a chance to see them live with an exclusive 10% discount.

Following on from their hugely impressive set at the Annual General Mayhem with Skindred, North Atlas harness elements of their rural surroundings within their music and imagery. Mark Tremonti recently had an extended conversation with Dewsbury, talking all about the new album Marching In Time, how he has grown in confidence with each release as a solo artist and taking a very in-depth look at the song “If Not For You” and the real meaning behind it.

Interview starts at 01:04:15

Mark Tremonti is no stranger to storytelling. Throughout his years with top-charting bands Alter Bridge and Creed, and most recently his solo band, Mark has never strayed from his love of writing memorable songs. With the upcoming fifth album, Marching In Time, the band looks to continue this trend while exploring their love for heavy music, drawing from current events from the last year to form the basis of each song.

While its predecessor, A Dying Machine, was an overall concept album seeped in darker sentiments and story, the vibe of Marching In Time is different – emerging as a charging rock/metal offering that takes the listener on 12 individual journeys. Marching In Time is out now.
