Five Finger Death Punch certainly had a busy weekend, it all started in Denver, USA on Friday, October 14th when frontman Ivan Moody shocked the crowd with the announcement that he will be retiring from heavy metal.
Speaking on stage with his kids, Ivan said:
I wanted to tell you this. And nobody else in the world knows, Denver, so this is where it’s going to start. And what you do with it is up to you.
The last 15 years of my life I have toured the world, I have seen every country, every city on this planet at least twice. That’s a fact. And through that time, as many of you parents know… I have missed a lot of time with my kiddos.
So I made them a deal today, and I’m going to stick to it. After this year, I am going to make one more Five Finger Death Punch album and then I am retiring from heavy metal.
I wanted to start that here and tell all of you, from day one when I decided to be a singer playing places like … the Bluebird Theater, the Ogden, and we were supposed to play Red Rocks, we’ll have to do that one more time. Can I play Red Rocks one more time? … I owe you everything, Colorado, Five Finger Death Punch and every knucklehead on this planet, thank you.

Whether this means Ivan is fully done with music or just heavy metal remains to be seen, no specific dates or times were given for his retirement.
This is also not the first Moody has said he is quitting. In June 2017, he informed a crowd at a Five Finger Death Punch show in Holland that it would be his last show with the band, later admitting that he had “fallen off the wagon”.

In other Five Finger Death Punch news, the band were forced to cut their October 15th show in Salt Lake City, Utah short after a drunk driver struck a transformer near the USANA Amphitheatre, which resulted in a power outage in the neighbouring area.
Speaking about the incident, Zoltan Bathory tweeted:
Salt Lake City started out as an incredible show with 20,000 fans … this was going off
🚀
when a drunk driver hit a transformer down the road and knocked out the power for the whole area 🤬 one more reason to not drink and drive… you screwed up 20,000 people’s day— Zoltan
