Sam Pounds
Sam Pounds grew up in a small rural town in North Carolina known as Bahama. Pounds quickly became acquainted with quartet gospel music through his Grandma Ruth. She would have Sam sing and play instruments every Sunday night for her guests starting at the age of three.
This introduction to playing and performing music early in his adolescence became the solid foundation for Sam’s musical journey. His early inspirations included Little Richard, Lenny Kravitz (Rock), Sam Cooke (Gospel), and James Brown (Soul) collectively combined and infused into his country roots to create a signature sound.
Thumper
Over the last two years, the Dublin six-piece have developed their sound and built an increasingly passionate fanbase. With a lineup of two drummers and four guitarists, THUMPER’s maximalist wall of sound has long since set them apart in the booming Dublin music scene.
Circles
Australian alt-metal outfit Circles released their new EP ‘The Stories We Are Afraid Of | Vol. 1’ last Friday via Wild Thing Records. The band also shared their focus track/single ‘Reckoning’.
‘The Stories We Are Afraid Of | Vol. 1′ is the first instalment of an epic two-part EP, following Circles’ sophomore record, ‘The Last One’, which garnered international recognition and domestic success in Australia (#4 TheMusic’s Album of the Year 2018, #3 AIR Independent Albums).
The progressive giants continue to lead the path of the international djent movement with their upcoming release, furthering the incorporation of shimmering, wavering pads, belting breakdowns and propelling percussion.
