If you missed the recent news, Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium have announced they will be celebrating 20 years of their respective careers by playing The Poison and Ascendancy and albums in their entirety in some very big venues across the UK.

Who Turned Down The Tour?

Now it’s been revealed that a prominent metal band turned down the opportunity to be a part of the tour package. In a recent interview with Nik Nocturnal, Bullet For My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck was talking about the tour and asked Nik to name the perfect bands to accompany them on the tour.

The conversation continues with Matt Tuck stating…

Matt Tuck: Let me ask you a question, if you could pick a band to join us, who would you pick?

Nik Nocturnal: Oh dude, if you guys got Killswitch… I listed a few because I talked about the tour. Killswitch, oh my God, was that 2005?

A lot of people mentioned this one, which was kind of weird but it made sense because of the album itself, Avenged with “City of Evil,” which was an interesting blend. I think Atreyu with “The Curse” came out around 2005 as well.

Also, All That Remains was in 2006, but they just did their 15th anniversary, so yeah, that era. The chat is saying Disturbed, that would have been sick with “10,000 Fists.” But yeah, just so much amazing music.

Matt Tuck: You hit the nail on the head with one of them that we did ask. We did invite them to do this with us, and they didn’t want to do it.

Nik Nocturnal: Bands what are you doing?

Matt Tuck: There you go.

Nik Nocturnal: What can you do? Now, you all have to wait for the 50th anniversary, and then maybe Matt will hit you up for doing it.

Matt Tuck: We approached them before the tour went on sale because you want to get it all lined up beforehand. Now the tour has been announced, and it’s done I think they’re probably kicking themselves, but there we go.

The dates for the UK tour are:

January 2025

26 Cardiff Utilita Arena
28 Glasgow OVO Hydro
30 Manchester Co-op Live
31 Birmingham Utilita Arena

February 2025

1 London The O2
