Marisa And The Moths, a band recognized for their distinctive blend of grungy rock, have released the music video for “Get It Off My Chest” (Watch Below) a track from their eagerly anticipated second album, “What Doesn’t Kill You”, scheduled for release on May 3rd.

Get It Off My Chest Inspirations

The single “Get It Off My Chest” features a dynamic composition that combines elements reminiscent of Alter Bridge and Flyleaf, enriched with a touch of In This Moment. The song’s lyrics, penned by the band’s lead, Marisa, delve into a narrative of personal errors and the struggle to evade a traumatic encounter.

The accompanying music video visually explores themes of growth, resilience, and empowerment following adverse experiences. For the first time, it highlights Marisa’s journey towards embracing her body, sexuality, and feminine strength.

Primordial General Mayhem

Primordial Radio is hugely excited to announce that the unique and ever-evolving London 2-piece BOB VYLAN is set to headline the main event of the Primordial General Mayhem on Saturday 27^th April 2024, with four-piece, loud, unapologetic, rock outfit from Nottingham, AS DECEMBER FALLS confirmed as main support.

Also confirmed across the weekend is BLACKGOLD, SAINT AGNES, CALVA LOUISE, NORTH ATLAS, THE TREATMENT, THE BARSTOOL PREACHERS, JAMES & THE COLD GUN and FURY.

Marisa shared her thoughts on the video’s significance, stating:

“If you had told my insecure 18-year-old self that I would have created such an exposed and raunchy music video, then I honestly wouldn’t have believed you! But I think that is what makes the story behind it all the more powerful and also true to the meaning of the album.

The mood of the narrative transitions throughout, reflecting my journey of self-discovery, accepting my faults, embracing my sexuality like I never have before (with the strong BDSM and LGBTQIA+ themes), and owning my feminine power.

I start in a place of vulnerability and powerlessness, slowly unravelling, giving into temptation and desires, until finally I take back control, accepting my mistakes and embracing my darker sides, becoming a stronger, more authentic version of myself.

This is the first song and music video I’ve released were it’s felt relevant to finally speak publicly about my sexuality, which has felt so liberating! The song and the video are a celebration of resilience, sexuality and authenticity, and I hope it inspires others to embrace their journey of self-realisation too.”
