Scott Stapp speaks on Dorothy Collab
In an interview with Heavy Consequence, Stapp expressed his admiration for Dorothy’s vocal prowess, stating:
“Dorothy is a real powerhouse vocalist. Just in terms of what she’s capable of doing vocally, it just blows my mind. She has such an iconic, big, soulful voice. And it’s so dynamic — she can do so much, from rock to incredible gospel-esque melodies, all the way to having opera training.”

Stapp also shared the genesis of the collaboration, revealing that he initially sought a country artist for the duet but was captivated by Dorothy’s performance during a shared bill with Daughtry, leading to her featuring on the track.
Dorothy expressed her gratitude for the collaboration, remarking:
“It was the highest honor for me to collaborate with Scott Stapp on such a beautiful, raw, emotional song. I’ve been a fan of his all my life and I hope this song positively impacts the world.”
In addition to the release of “Higher Power,” Stapp has embarked on a solo tour, which includes a performance scheduled for March 22nd in Clear Lake, Iowa. Following this, Stapp is set to reunite with Creed for their first shows in over a decade. The band is slated to headline the Summer of ’99 rock cruises, followed by an extensive North American tour covering two legs in the summer and fall.
