Nickelback’s documentary ‘Hate To Love’ is now available for streaming on Netflix. The film tells the story of Nickelback from their humble beginnings in Hanna, Alberta, to their explosive global success in 2001 and the highs and lows that followed.

Nickelback Take On The Haters

From the explosive global success of “How You Remind Me” to “Rockstar” fame that brought an early wave of online negativity that many other artists have faced since, “Hate To Love: Nickelback” is produced by Ben Jones for Gimme Sugar Productions and directed by British filmmaker Leigh Brooks, who has previously worked on films about Life Of Agony and Terrorvision.

Speaking about the film the band states…

It’s been a long road to get this project across the finish line and we must thank Ben Jones and Leigh Brooks for all of their hard work. We hope everyone enjoys our story, fans, friends or otherwise,” the band said in a statement.

Nickelback recently completed a sold-out tour across the UK and with festivals like Download in need of new headliners, many are speculating it could finally be time for Nicleback to grace the hallowed halls of Donington Park.

Speaking to Primordial Radio about potentially playing Download Festival, guitarist Ryan Peake stated:

Oh, I think Download’s a great festival. It’s amazing but it leans very heavy for sure. Rock fans are fickle, I gotta say. Me being a rock fan, they like what’s in their club. They might like other things, but they don’t always wear it on their sleeve proudly. We cover quite a breadth of styles, and I think we could definitely hold our own there because we are a rock band first and foremost.

If they called and wanted us to do it, that’d be fine. We haven’t done festivals. We just haven’t done it. We like doing our own shows over there. We did them a long, long time ago. But I think festivals might be back on the menu.
