The Equality Advisory Group exists to guide us in making Primordial even more welcoming and inclusive.
We are currently seeking new members for this group.
No matter how good we currently are, we’d like to be better.
Help us stick to Rule #1
Why are we doing this?
To increase the membership of our independent advisory body allowing us to:
- Help Primordial develop and maintain an inclusive, representative and diverse culture
- Ensure Primordial makes a positive contribution to a more equal, fair and inclusive society
- Enable inclusive decision-making that puts commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion into practice
- Sense check our actions to ensure what we do is fair and that Primordial is a place where everyone feels welcome
What are we looking for?
- Interest in making Primordial an inclusive and welcoming space for all
- Lived experience that can provide a different perspective – if you identify as a woman, disabled, people from ethnic groups and/or LGBTQIA+
- Expertise or experience (paid or voluntary) in equality, diversity and inclusion – this could be in relation to HR, communications, research etc.
What will you need to do?
- It is expected that membership of the advisory group would require 1-2 hours per month of your time, plus attendance at virtual quarterly meetings
- The aim of the group is to provide independent advice and guidance so the station can evolve in a way that is welcoming and inclusive to all, and to ensure this commitment to inclusion is reflected in all the station does
- There may be a slightly greater time commitment required when we are working on specific events or promoting awareness campaigns e.g. International Women’s Day
- All involvement will be facilitated virtually
