In a remarkable blend of nostalgia and modern nu-metal, the enigmatic group BLACKGOLD has recently unveiled their latest music video for the single ‘Today’s My Day.’ (Watch Below). Alongside this release, they’ve excitedly announced their upcoming third Extended Play (E.P.), titled ‘Back With Another One,’ set to debut on May 10, 2024.

Blackgold Ride Nu-Metal Revival

Since their emergence on the music scene two years ago, BLACKGOLD has quickly gained attention and acclaim. Their rapid ascent includes touring with renowned bands like LIMP BIZKIT and SKINDRED, and fruitful collaborations with artists such as FEVER 333 and Hyro The Hero. They’ve graced the covers of Spotify and TIDAL editorial playlists and have made notable appearances at famed festivals including Download, Graspop, and Copenhell, among others.

The lyrics of their latest single, ‘Today’s My Day,’ reflect a theme of liberation from routine and societal expectations. Speaking about the song, the band state:

Primordial Radio is hugely excited to announce that the unique and ever-evolving London 2-piece BOB VYLAN is set to headline the main event of the Primordial General Mayhem on Saturday 27^th April 2024, with four-piece, loud, unapologetic, rock outfit from Nottingham, AS DECEMBER FALLS confirmed as main support.

Also confirmed for the Saturday event is BLACKGOLD, SAINT AGNES, CALVA LOUISE and NORTH ATLAS with the opening band to be decided by the listeners of Primordial Radio.

“We all feel the pressure of this 9 to 5, waking up on someone else’s time in a job you don’t have passion for. ‘Today’s My Day’ is about taking back your own time and doing whatever the hell you want.”

Following their debut ‘BLACKGOLD’ E.P. in 2022 and ‘Volume 2’ E.P. in 2023, their latest project, ‘Back With Another One,’ is a self-released collection. It includes the title track, initially released in November 2023, alongside ‘Today’s My Day’ and three additional new songs. The tracklist for the E.P. is as follows:
