Caught in the Mash – Elusive Brewing

Published / Tue 11 Aug 2020

CAUGHT IN A MASH was back for for another “drink along” on the Primordial Radio Twitch Channel !

Phill from Primordial Radio and Sean Ayling from Tom’s Tap & Brewhouse chatted with Andy Parker of Elusive Brewing from Finchampstead, Berkshire – known as the nicest man in brewing !

You may have heard Sean talking about  The Treasury and the proposed changes to Small Brewers Relief (SBR) – the progressive tax system that has revolutionised UK brewing. These changes will reduce the 50% duty threshold from 5,000hl to 2,100hl: small breweries will have to pay more duty, whilst larger breweries could pay the same or less.  There is a petition to try and reverse this – available here

Joining Phill and Sean next week (18th August) is Top Rope Brewing.

“Started in a shed in a back garden in 2016, Top Rope Brewing is the brainchild of Neil and Ben. Born from a love of homebrewing that quickly turned to a passion for a love of all things beer, they are currently brewing from a site in North Wales, producing a wide range of full flavoured beers from pales to sours to stouts and everything in between, always making sure to keep that close connection to the love of wrestling that started it all”

As for drinking along beers next week – hit up the Top Rope Brewing website and go with :

  • Overkill – 5.5% IPA,
  • Vanilla Monsoon – 5.4% vanilla stout) and
  • Aw…Here It Gose – 3.2% Orange Soda Gose

Join us on Caught in a Mash next Tuesday 18th August @ 8pm and we’ll be drinking three of his beers which you can buy from his website if you want to join in with the #supalong.

Hopefully we’ll see you next Tuesday on Twitch !
