There was quite a big surprise for the viewers and judges of America’s Got Talent this week when death metal choir Dremeka Choir covered Britney Spears ‘Toxic’.

Incredibly they managed to turn the pop hit into a capella death metal sensation with the judges’ reaction good enough for Dremeka Choir to proceed to the next round of America’s Got Talent auditions.

Dremeka Choir, are a Canadian singing collective called one of the only metal choirs in the world. Their performance began with the medieval number “O Fortuna” and segued into the death metal version of “Toxic”.

We look forward to seeing how they get on in the next round!

America’s Got Talent airs every Tuesday night at 8pm EST on NBC, viewers can also stream it through Hulu and Peacock.
