Ghost has released a newly discovered track, “The Future Is A Foreign Land,” from their so-called ‘1969-era’ (Listen Below).
This period in the platinum-certified Swedish arena rockers’ history previously brought the band considerable success, notably with the song “Mary On A Cross” going viral on TikTok and earning their first-ever U.S. platinum certification in September 2023.
New Release Coincides with Upcoming Feature Film Soundtrack
In the band’s narrative, this era features a younger Papa Nihil as the frontman. A remastered collection of material from this period, titled “Seven Inches Of Satanic Panic,” was released in 2019. Ghost also celebrated their late 60s era with an exhibition last year.
The latest release is likely part of the soundtrack for the band’s new feature film, “Rite Here Right Now,” which began screening in theaters worldwide this week. The official motion picture soundtrack is scheduled for release on July 26th.
