In 2021 I was invited to do a ‘twitter space’ about NFT’s which resulted in me having to sign up for my first social media experience. Reluctantly, I stayed on. Here, I created relationships with many people I never would have met. So for that I’m grateful.

It was great for launching Deathbats Club and all of our other endeavors around Avenged Sevenfold. I’m neither bummed nor mad about this app in general… it just simply doesn’t interest me at this point.

I will continue to post about nerdy things that actually make me excited to get out of bed. It will not get much reach because this is how the app works. These things include the bleeding edge of technology, VR, blockchain, music communities, and an occasional song.”

Shadows joins a growing list of celebrities who have distanced themselves from the platform since its acquisition by Elon Musk in October 2022. Prominent figures such as Jameela Jamil, Mick Foley, and Elton John have either ceased using their profiles or deleted them entirely.

Data from Apptopia indicates a 13% decline in daily active users on the platform in the first year of Musk’s ownership. Additionally, Guideline, an ad-analytics company, reported a 54% decrease in advertising from September 2022 to August 2023.

Meanwhile, Avenged Sevenfold is gearing up to headline the Download Festival in June 2024, where they will perform alongside Fall Out Boy, Queens Of The Stone Age, and other notable acts.
