‘Humble as the Sun’, the forthcoming album from BOB VYLAN continues with much of the rage and urgency that they have come to be known and loved for, but this latest project shows that they are now stronger and wiser, bolstered by the wins and learnings that they have fought hard for along the way. The resulting record aims to leave the listener feeling power alongside their anger, and brings a fresh and compelling blend of punk, rock, grime and rap together in an experimental way.
Following on from the MOBO award-winning and chart-topping album, ‘Bob Vylan Presents the Price of Life’, the message woven throughout ‘Humble as the Sun’ remains dark in places but is high-energy, defiant and unapologetic in its critique of a broken social and political system that so many have fallen victim to, but feel powerless against.
AS DECEMBER FALLS are a long way from their beginnings. The band achieved self-sufficiency early on as a matter of survival after being told they were ‘too this’ and ‘too that’ from the industry gatekeepers. Their DIY attitude and business know-how resulted in the band selling out 90% of shows on their most recent headline tour around the UK and appearing at Download, Slam Dunk Festival, 2000 Trees and more.
Their new album Join The Club made a hugely impressive debut at No.11 in the UK Album Charts with their most recent tour selling over 10,000 tickets across the UK.
Following their immensely successful tours alongside Limp Bizkit and Skindred, nu-metal powerhouse BLACKGOLD is poised to captivate the audience at Primordial General Mayhem.
Joining the stellar lineup of bands, Primordial Radio is thrilled to introduce SAINT AGNES and CALVA LOUISE, to their inaugural performances at the Primordial General Mayhem. Additionally, we’re also excited to welcome back NORTH ATLAS, who made a memorable appearance at the PGM in 2022. Since then, the band has significantly expanded their fan base through successful performances alongside Atreyu, Enter Shikari, Lost Society, and at Download Festival.
Headlining the Friday night are dynamic and hard-hitting five-piece retro-rockers THE TREATMENT.
Fresh from their massively successful tour with Buckcherry, they are set to deliver an electrifying performance with one of their biggest-ever headline shows to date. Joining them are the Brighton-based punk-rock aficionados THE BAR STOOL PREACHERS, making their PGM debut with their uniquely infectious sound.
Adding to the lineup are the energetic South Wales rockers JAMES & THE COLD GUN, who have garnered acclaim for their recent tours with Those Damn Crows and Florence Black. Also, not to be missed is the return of the electrifying hard rock sensations FURY, who made a remarkable impression last year by drawing an overwhelming crowd to the festival’s smaller stage. Their anticipated performance at PGM 2024 is expected to be a standout moment.
Speaking about the Primordial General Mayhem 2024, Content Director Pete Bailey states:
After the huge success of the PGM 2023, we knew we had our work cut out for us, but this is beyond anything we could have hoped for. With the Friday additions and day splits announced, this bill is nothing short of a showcase of the immense talent we have in the UK, and for those who attended the PGM in 2022 will know just how electric Bob Vylan’s live shows are. This is going to be a very special event; we can’t wait to see you all in April!
