Renowned thrash metal band Slayer is scheduled to reunite for a headline performance at the Louder Than Life festival in Kentucky, set to take place in September 2024. This event marks Slayer’s return to the stage after their farewell in 2019, concluding over three decades of prominent presence in the thrash metal genre.

Fresh from their massively successful tour with Buckcherry, they are set to deliver an electrifying performance with one of their biggest-ever headline shows to date. Joining them are the Brighton-based punk-rock aficionados THE BAR STOOL PREACHERS, alongside energetic South Wales rockers JAMES & THE COLD GUN and hard rock sensations FURY, who made a remarkable impression last year by drawing an overwhelming crowd to the festival’s smaller stage.

“We’re thrilled to announce that Slayer will be reuniting for an earth-shattering performance at Louder Than Life. I was at their last show at The Forum in 2019 and have been working since then to bring them back to the Louder stage! With over 140 bands on five stages, we’re celebrating our 10th Louder Than Life with the biggest line-up yet!”

Slayer’s performance is scheduled for the Friday night of the four-day festival. The event, which spans from September 26 to 29, will also feature a variety of other notable bands including Slipknot, Korn, and Mötley Crüe as headliners. Additional acts such as The Offspring, Gojira, Spiritbox, Evanescence, Judas Priest, and Mastodon are part of the lineup as well.
