Dance Devil Dance is an album that captures the essence of Sweden’s wilds, recorded far away from urban settings and modern recording studios. Jay Ruston was back on board as producer for this project after mixing Hail The Apocalypse, Avatar Country and Hunter Gatherer with the band already in past years. This time no outside personnel were needed: it was just six people creating a month-long artistic journey fueled by food, sleep -and lots of music.

Avatar adds:

You always hear bands say, ‘This is our best album yet.’ This is our best album yet. It is AVATAR at our most laser-focused, at our most razor sharp.

There’s no BS, no extra fat. Every track is a weapon and has a purpose. It’s all in the title, as this album is our angriest, horniest, and most spiritual release, all at once. It’s a must-hear,

Music is their passion, and this band has taken it across the globe. From opening for musical greats like Iron Maiden or Slipknot to headlining stages on Wacken, Hellfest, Download & Rock on the Range; from coast-to-coast in North America all down through Mexico to Brazil – everywhere one can find them bringing a freakshow of incredible music wherever they go. And no matter where that may be you’d better prepare yourselves when these talented musicians take over because everyone will become Devil’s playthings.

Dance Devil Dance passionately embraces a much-needed reprieve from conformity, as this heavy metal anthem celebrates the unconventional and rebukes notions of beauty. This music demands to be felt physically – it beckons listeners to move with its headbanging rhythms and guttural reverberations. As if awakening from some distant trance, revellers may come out of their chairs in search of an exhilarating joy found only on the dance floor.

AVATAR hit the UK on a string of headline shows in February 2023, with support from Mastiff and Veil of Maya.
