Primordial Radio is excited to announce that Lacuna Coil frontwoman Cristina Scabbia is set to take part in the Radio Residency for the month of March.
The Radio Residency is hosted by Adam Whalley and is a series of four exclusive shows that air every Wednesday at 10:00am (GMT). Across the Residency, Adam and Cristina discuss the band’s new album, Sleepless Empire, reflecting on its creative process and the excitement of hitting the road again.
Cristina also discusses the highs and lows of touring, the pandemic’s influence on their music, and her journey as a woman in the metal scene. They also look back on the band’s evolution, their influences, and the shifting landscape of Italian music. Beyond that, Cristina explores how language shapes music, recalls standout concert moments, and stresses the importance of delivering a powerful performance regardless of audience size.
Cristina opens up about the challenges of navigating reviews, online trolls, and public perception in today’s music industry while revealing the legendary artists she dreams of collaborating with.
