On March 25th, 2022 the world of rock was shaken to its core when the news was announced of the tragic passing of Foo Fighters drummer, Taylor Hawkins, he tragically died whilst on tour with Foo Fighters on the South American leg of a world tour.
In a statement shortly after the news was announced, Foo Fighters stated:
The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins.
His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever.
Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.
With tributes then flooding in from the world of rock:
. @TaylorHawkins was truly a great person and an amazing musician. My heart, my love and my condolences go out to his wife, his children, his family, his band and his fans. See you on the other side – Ozzy

It was then announced in June 2022 that Foo Fighters would hold two tribute concerts for the late drummer, one on September 3rd, 2022 at London’s Wembley Stadium and one on September 27th, 2022 at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, California.
The first of the two concerts took place last night and featured a huge number of special guests, such as Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Queens’s Brian May and Roger Taylor, Blink 182’s Travis Barker, Paul McCartney, AC/DC’s Brian Johnson, Liam Gallagher, Queen’s Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme, Oliver Shane Hawkins and many more.
Whilst providing a star-studded night of incredible Rock N’ Roll, it was also a hugely emotional occasion with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl understandably becoming tearful during the performance of “Times Like These”.
The whole concert was streamed live via MTV’s YouTube channel but has since been taken down due to copyright issues, hopefully, it will be back up soon, but you can find the full setlist below.
