Creating a soundtrack to people’s rage is part of what drives Wargasm. After Sam Matlock’s band Dead! broke up, the singer and guitarist started sending song ideas to Milkie Way, an international model and session bassist for Barns Courtney.

The London-based duo originally met and formed a friendship through the underground music scene. Inspired by Limp Bizkit and Radiohead as well as acts like Rina Sawayama and Poppy, they started making bedroom demos together as Wargasm, dubbing their sound “angry music for sad people”.
