Earache Records has launched a new distribution service entitled ‘Earache Digital Distribution’. The service will allow independent bands and artists to distribiute their music without the commitment of a fully signed record contract, speaking about the new service Head Of Label, Tim Bailey stated:
Three years in the making, Earache Digital Distribution marks a new chapter for us as a hybrid label. Earache Digital Distribution is open to all and is so much more than digital distribution – it’s a place where we can begin working together and see how we get along. It is our development space where you, your band and us get to see how we fit together while you keep 100% of your copyrights and all your royalties.
We speak with experience, more than 35 years and over 700 releases. Earache has released Top 10 charting albums across the globe and even had a brief partnership with Sony. We’ve taken bar bands to Brixton Academy and helped shape metal and alternative music as you know it today. And now with Earache Digital Distribution we can offer you a chance to work with us, wherever you might be in your career. EDD is a solution for everyone.
This is not a DIY service and platform. You’ll speak directly to staff at management level – including me. We won’t promise anything we can’t deliver; we can’t make you the biggest band in the world overnight. But we’re in this for the long haul and we want you to be too.

Earache Records is a British independent record label, music publisher and management company founded by Digby Pearson in 1985, based in Nottingham, England, with offices in London and New York. The label helped to pioneer extreme metal by releasing early grindcore and death metal records between the late 1980s and mid-1990s.
Its roster has since diversified into more mainstream guitar music, working with bands such as Rival Sons, the Temperance Movement, Blackberry Smoke, Scarlet Rebels and the White Buffalo.
Earache Records were also the host of the ‘Truth Stage’ at Glastonbury Festival 2022 with artists such as Nova Twins, Bob Vylan, Dub War, Brass Agianst and Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs performing across the weekend.
