We recently caught up with Motionless In White frontman Chris Motionless and got onto the subject of how algorithms are affecting the way artists are creating music.
In the interview which you can watch below, when asked if Motionless In White change their music to adapt to algorithms, Chris states:
Not so much ever in the creation of the music or the videos specifically, no, these are artist creations of what we represent.
When it comes to YouTube and social media, it’s more about the marketing, being candid, we recognize that the algorithm controls everything now and how much exposure you get, so it’s a game that you have to play, you really do.
Motionless In White recently released their new album Scoring The End of the World which sees them expand the band’s dynamic, deep, and dark vision, and marks the band’s first full-length body of work in three years since 2019’s Disguise.
Their single “Another Life” is now their most-streamed song ever with over 23 million YouTube views on the music video.
