Ghost’s 2019 track “Mary on a Cross”, from their EP Seven Inches of Satanic Panic EP, has gone viral on TikTok.

A user featured the track in a video clip around Stranger Things content and the internet had many, many things to say. View the clip below.

Following in the footsteps of Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” and Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill,” the renewed popularity of Ghost’s Mary On A Cross has launched it into Spotify’s Viral 50 Global chart, where it currently sits as number No. 9.

Speaking about the track when initially released in 2019, Ghost stated:

Mary on a Cross continues Ghost’s litany of bubblegum blasphemy, infiltrating the minds of listeners through music that’s sweet to the ear and corrosive to the soul. Naturally, we’re on board, as are Ghost’s legions of fans, who have been rabid for the group’s new 7.
