World Mental Health Day Sunday 10 October
“If we all do one thing, we can change everything.”
Sunday 10 October, is World Mental Health Day (WMHD). After the events of the last few years our mental health remains more important than ever.
Being one of the pillars of Primordial Radio, and taking inspiration from Mind’s WMHD campaign we are marking the event by encouraging you to “Do One Thing” to support your own mental health and those around us.
There will also be a few small but specials additions to the programme on Sunday 10 Oct, so listen out throughout the day for those. Plus our very own Fam member James Mealor aka DrDeathsMusicParanoia will also be hosting a very special 12 hour Twitch raid all in aid of Manchester Mind.
Need some inspiration for your “Do One Thing”?
Some of the Fam were quick off the mark sharing their mental health stories and some told us the things they will be doing for WMHD. You can read all about them here (you must be a Primordial Radio member to view):
It can be hard to know where to start but our mental health can be improved by small changes in different areas of our lives.
It does not have to be complicated or time-consuming.
You can see our suggestions of how to make small improvements to support your mental wellbeing here
Did you know Mental health support is still too often determined by where we live or who we are?
The official WMHD theme is “Mental Health Care for All” so we would also like to encourage our community to join the fight for mental health equality. You can get some ideas on how to do this from the Mind website
