Speaking about joining Bullet For My Valentine in 2015, Jamie Mathias states:
When I joined BFMV in 2015, that was the first track (No Way Out) I heard from their new album. So when they told me I was in the band, we immediately went into the studio where they were recording Venom. It was exciting to hear that first track from Venom, and I thought it would be a thrilling experience.
To step into the new chapter of BFMV with Venom was incredible. Now, as I reflect, it has been 8 years since then. I received the offer from Padge, whom I had been friends with for a couple of years before joining the band. After the audition, I submitted my video. It took about 2 months between the audition and receiving the green light that I was officially in the band. It happened quite quickly.
Looking back, at the beginning of that year, around March, I never would have imagined being offered such an opportunity. And then, within four months, I found myself in the band, embarking on a seven-and-a-half-week tour in America.

Since their formation in 1998, Bullet For My Valentine has become one of the most prominent metal bands in recent years. The band has sold over 3 million albums worldwide and boasts an impressive 1 BILLION streams in the US alone. BFMV has been awarded three gold albums and has made a name for themselves in their native UK with their explosive debut, The Poison.
Their success extends beyond the press and fans; Iron Maiden and Metallica, two bands that inspired BFMV’s formation, have personally selected the band to hit the road and share the stage together.
Most recently Bullet For My Valentine has teamed up with Aussie drum’n’bass gang Pendulum for their collaborative effort on the new single Halo. The track is high-energy and explosive, blending Bullet For My Valentine’s brand of metal with Pendulum’s drum and bass sound. The collaboration has garnered attention from fans of both bands, as well as those interested in metal and electronic music more broadly.
Bullet For My Valentine is set to headline 2000 Trees Festival taking place 5-8th July 2023 at Upcote Farm, Cheltenham.
They will be joining Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and Soft Play atop the July bill, with frontman Matt Tuck stating:
