Back at TeamRock we used to do Freespin Fridays, think it was just in the afternoon and then the mornings followed after.
Even though I only hosted a few myself I always thoroughly enjoyed it just as a listener because of the sheer depth and scope of the requests, quite literally everything from Creedence to Cannibal Corpse and everything in between…. beautiful chaos.
Well after kicking Dewsbury in the shins enough times for him to let his guard down, Freespin Fridays is now 7am – 7pm. Ten-minute takeover??? HA. FUCK. THAT.
Getting to hear 12 hours of requests really is a wonderful thing as we all get to hear what everyone is actually listening to rather than what we think they’re listening to. We said from the beginning this would be built by the community, for the community, this is another step in that direction.
